Descricao: The movie opens with shots of the ocean from beneath the surface. The camera pans along what is eventually revealed to be the body of a blonde woman. Her body is then shown washed ashore, where it lays face up, clad only in a white bikini bottom.David (Sam Page) is a man haunted by the divorce of his parents after his father's unfaithfulness. His mother took him to America while his wealthy father, Robert Dunsmore, stayed in Spain and lives a womanizing playboy life in his mansion. David kept in very sparse contact with his father, and their relationship is more like casual acquaintances. David is still bitter about his parents' divorce. Dunsmore admits to David in a phone conversation that he loved David's mother, but dismissively, even a little coldly, says only that 'life got in the way.'At his job, David meets a lovely woman named Georgie (Natassia Malthe) and becomes engaged to her. After losing his job, he takes Georgie on a vacation in Spain because she wants to meet his father in order to have an idea what David will look like when he's old.David and Georgie are picked up by Dunsmore's business partner, Salim, and driven to his mansion. Dunsmore isn't there but has left a note which tells them they have the run of his mansion until his return, and they can use his bed to have sex (which they do). Later that evening Salim drives them to a nightclub, though they tell him they'll catch a cab back. Georgie forgets her cell phone, but David tells her it's okay because she doesn't really call anyone. At the nightclub, Georgie drops Dunsmore's name to get them inside. They're given an exclusive table and a bottle of expensive champagne, and two pills. Feeling adventurous, Georgie swallows one and coaxes David to swallow the other. Georgie gets up and dances while David watches. A real estate agent named Peter takes a fancy to Georgie and slips David a business card.David goes to use the restroom while, in a voiceover, he philosophizes about a single moment by which the rest of your life is judged, and what happens if that moment occurs while you're not even in the room. As David returns to the club he finds Georgie mysteriously gone. The club owner and his staff suddenly don't seem to remember David or Georgie. They make him leave the club, but look around for Georgie and then tell David she's not there.David goes to the police, but finds the official he talks to, rude, obnoxious, and corrupt, brazenly soliciting a bribe in order to conduct what David knows will be a half-hearted search. Back at his father's house, David finds he still has Peter's card and goes to confront him at his place of business, but finds that Peter knows nothing about Georgie's disappearance.Dunsmore finally comes home and tries to persuade David that Georgie must have gotten a taste of 'the good life' in the wealthy city and run off with someone. David refuses to accept this, insisting that Georgie has been kidnapped.Wandering the city streets with no resources other than a place to crash and eat without charge, David passes by a bar and recognizes the proprietor, Alejandro, as a patron at the nightclub where Georgie disappeared. He tries to press Alejandro for information, but Alejandro just slaps him roughly and orders him out.David follows Alejandro to a trailer where he lives, but Alejandro gets behind him and puts a knife to his throat, in such a way that he'd have to move his arm very precisely to avoid slicing David's jugular vein open, meaning any resistance on David's part would kill him. David again presses for information, insisting he is certain that Alejandro knows something. Alejandro finally confesses that he knows who abducted Georgie... a depraved Russian drug czar named Mohammed Aziz who found Islam in an Iraqi prison and is now known as the White Arab. Aziz never leaves his luxury yacht, which moves from port to port, where his men find beautiful young girls to kidnap. These girls are physically and sexually abused and tortured in order to break them into total submission. Alejandro's sister is one of Aziz's captives. David asks Alejandro for help, offering to help him rescue his sister in return, but Alejandro sees in David's eyes that he's too squeamish to do what would need to be done.Dunsmore and Salim are at a race track, where Salim discusses what is clearly a shady business deal on the phone. Dunsmore had told David that he 'picks up and delivers things,' and from the conversation at the track it's hinted he also deals in drugs. Later that evening, David finds Dunsmore at a club wooing a pretty brunette woman. They fall into an argument and finally Dunsmore chases David out into the street and reveals that his ex-wife, David's mother, cheated on him before he cheated on her. Dunsmore admits that perhaps his womanlzing lifestyle was a way of punishing her.Georgie awakes in a cabin on Aziz's yacht. A dark-hared woman named Sofia, one of Aziz's sex slaves comes in and tells Georgie that a 'welcoming party' is being prepared. Georgie tries to plead with Sofia for help so they can try to escape together, but Sofia reveals that she serves Aziz willingly, even gladly, which gives her a sort of overseer position over the other women on the yacht. Georgie later sneaks onto the main deck of the boat and tries to unhitch an emergency jet ski to escape. The boat captain finds her, but tells her she can go. But Aziz isn't worried, and is rather impressed with Georgie's spunk. The captain hands him a small remote device. Aziz presses a button and Georgie's jet ski comes to a stop, She must either let the yacht come and retrieve her or she'll be stranded out on the ocean with no way to get to any form of safety.David goes again to Alejandro's trailer and tells him he wants to mount a rescue. Alejandro tells him that he has to be ready to kill without hesitation or remorse. Either they kill Aziz and his men or they will be killed. When David slaps him, Alejandro is satisfied that David will be able to help with a rescue.Dunsmore and Salim are discussing more business and Dunsmore says he needs to get on 'the boat,' as soon as possible. The stakes at hand are shown as Aziz goes onto the deck and sits near a blonde woman in a white bikini bottom. She's overdosed on drugs, vomit gurgling in her mouth and occasionally a trickle spilling out. Georgie, locked in her cabin, pushes a curtain aside to see the woman floating face up in the ocean, having been dropped overboard by Aziz to drown and wash ashore (in the movie's first scene).Dunsmore and Salim are brought aboard Aziz's yacht in the evening. Dunsmore is making a delivery of a large drug shipment. Aziz pays generously, but also insists that Dunsmore select one of Aziz's 'wives' to have sex with. One of Aziz's lieutenants escorts Dunsmore to the lower levels of the yacht's interior while Salim is seen fondling another of Aziz's captives.David and Alejandro use a small motorboat to reach Aziz's yacht and sneak aboard under cover of darkness. A gun fight breaks out in the main living room and Alejandro slaughters a number of Aziz's men, along with Salim and even several of the women captives who are hit by stray gunfire. Heading down stairs and taking out more of Aziz's men, Alejandro then bursts in on Aziz's private bed cabin to confront Aziz, who lounges casually while Sofia-- Alejandro's sister-- snuggles with Aziz. Alejandro cannot accept that his sister submits herself to Aziz so willingly and completely, and has no desire to be 'rescued,' even when Aziz puts a knife to Sofia's throat much in the same way Alejandro had done with David, and Sofia doesn't flinch or resist. Alejandro lowers his gun and starts to look away in despair, before suddenly shipping back around and killing Aziz with a shot to the head. But Aziz's guard hadn't lowered, and in his death throes he takes Sofia with him. Alejandro mourns bitterly over Sofia's body.David makes his way downstairs and is alerted to what sounds like a light struggle. He finds his way to a cabin where he first sees Georgie's face, her head tilted back. Pushing the door aside, he finds to his sick horror that Georgie is in Dunsmore's arms, her legs around his torso. Confronting his father in a rage, David points a gun at him. They yell at each other, Dunsmore insisting that David doesn't know what he's doing.David pulls the trigger, but it's not his gun that fires. In the doorway behind David, Alejandro has found his way there and committed suicide by putting his gun in his own mouth and pulling the trigger. Enraged that his own son would try to kill him, Dunsmore starts hitting David, demanding that David fight him back.David's voiceover, about the one moment by which your whole life is judged, and what if that moment came while you weren't present, is repeated as flashbacks show that Dunsmore knew Georgie was aboard Aziz's yacht, and hadn't been trying to have sex with her, but trying to lift her up and carry her away and rescue her, but Georgie was in a half-drugged stupor, making her unable to cooperate. Returning to the present, a bloodied David has knocked Dunsmore down and viciously pummels him, not stopping even after he's beaten Dunsmore to death.David and Georgie are sitting on the steps of Dunsmore's villa with their luggage, waiting for a cab. David reaches out to touch Georgie's hand, but she silently pulls it away, not turning to look at him. She stares vacantly ahead as the cab arrives. In a series of closing voiceovers as David and Georgie get in the cab, David says that two weeks after their return home, Georgie broke up with him, so appalled at David's savagery in killing his father that she never wanted to see him again. She said that, that fateful evening, she saw the monster in him. David defends himself (to the movie's audience) saying that she saw the man. Bitter over losing her, David says that in the end, his father was right-- "Life got in the way."
